A Letter from the Founders
Hello, and welcome to BRÍ.
We're Glenn and Taylor. Even though we picked the brightest, shiniest picture we could find for this, a few years back, we were both going through it. Glenn was dealing with chronic physical health challenges whilst trying to keep up with a demanding job. Taylor was struggling with her mental health after a difficult period at work. We'd both reached that point where you know something needs to change, but didn’t know what or how.
The thing is, we're not experts in any of this. We're just two people who've experienced tough times and felt how hard it can be. We were searching for support to live a bit calmer, a bit steadier, and we couldn't find what we were looking for. Partly because we really didn’t know what we should be looking for. So we thought, well, let's see if we can make it ourselves.
When we started BRÍ, we just wanted to create something that might help others going through a similar tough time. A space where people could take small steps without the pressure of big transformations. Because that's not how life works, is it? Real change happens gradually. One small choice at a time. Showing up for yourself when you can, and not beating yourself up when you can't.
Brí is an Irish word that speaks to 'strength' and 'vigour'. Not the loud kind, but the quiet, steady kind. The resilience that keeps you going when everything feels a bit much. That's what we're after here.
We won't tell you BRÍ is going to fix everything. It won't, and we'd never claim it would. But it might be a starting point for you. A small daily ritual that reminds you to choose yourself. To notice how stress is affecting you. To take one small step at a time.
What we'd really love is to build a bit of community around this. A space where people can support each other in finding steadier ground. Where you don't need to overhaul your whole life, just make some thoughtful choices. Where maybe, in some small way, we can help you have a better day than you had yesterday.
Mind yourself,
Glenn & Taylor
